Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore Launches Into Early Access

Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore, the multiplayer survival sandbox game from German indie studio Blankhans, is set to launch into early access on Steam on July 18th, 2023. The game promises a co-op experience where players will work together to farm resources, establish outposts, and protect their settlements from the evil Sorgoth and his Gothkin army.

The game is set after the near-destruction of Tormentosia by Sorgoth and his armies. Six kingdoms and the newfound refuge of Coreheim remain, all of which provide essential resources to maintain a new kind of technology known as the Ultracore. Players can claim land as their own by creating a thriving home, but must not be too lax as they need to repel the evil forces of Sorgoth’s missions and defend their town.


Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore features all of the core gameplay mechanics in its early access build, including gear crafting, player towns, profession progression, and a place where players can socialize with each other called Coreheim. Gathering resources is essential to defending oneself in Coreborn. Players will need to utilize hundreds of individual recipes and build up structures to withstand the endless waves of Sorgoth’s minions.

Players can cooperate with other players all over the world as they trade items, get resources, find new companions for adventures, or just enjoy the company during seasonal events and festivities. Players can learn a variety of professions and train to become an expert. They can help out those in need and become an important and valued member of the community.

Early Access

The early access build is expected to run for approximately one to two years, as team Coreborn plans to expand the game’s world, increase the number of kinds of characters players can create, and introduce more events and adventures. Although it’s still unclear whether the early access release will be free or not, the full release of the game will be free-to-play with microtransactions in the form of a premium cosmetic shop.
